| The S.O.S.
stands for Sub-Occipital-Soother or
“Stills-Original-System”, the first Osteopathic technique
employed by the founder of Osteopathy, Andrew Taylor Still.
Sub occipital Traction.
Dr Michael. C. Nelson. D.
O. found that applying this technique to the base of the
head (sub occiput-the occipital bone is the base bone of the
skull) was very effective for Tension headache, migraine and
neck pain relief and started thinking about ways people
could do this at home, to supplement their treatment
program.
Dr Nelson’s S.O.S. is made
from firm but giving polyurethane with a non slip base, and
can be used on or against most surfaces. The S.O.S. can be
used on all areas of the back and neck for pain relief,
general self massage and wellbeing.
This simple device
stimulates blood supply, breaks up lactic acid from
chronically contracted muscles, easing tender spots and
returning the user to an easier mechanical picture.

The S.O.S. is
mainly used for
tension headache,
migraine management and neck pain relief. The S.O.S.
can be used for:
Thoracic and lower back
pain relief as well. Many people have reported
excellent results with turning
Sciatic pain OFF and easing their lower back pain after
long drives. With regular use the results are astounding!
SOS can also be used in
conjunction with massage. Relief your clients sub-occipital
muscles while you are working other parts of the body. |

"Hello, I am a massage therapist
who has recently tested several self massage products to find
those that work well and are easy to manage. I found the SOS sub
occipital soother to be the easiest to use correctly and most
effective for headache and neck relief."
"I have Spasmodic Torticollis and
am a former client of the S.T.R.C. I never really got the knack
of self-massage of the neck, but your SOS Massager does a great
job and is so easy to use. It does help relieve the muscle
tension and pain of the ST. I so would not want to be without my
SOS that if I had no money to buy a new one there wouldn't be
enough money anywhere to buy my old one from me! In fact, I
recently bought a second SOS just in case something happened to
my first one. By the way, my wife, who suffers from migraines,
also bought her own SOS as well. Thank you for your great
invention." Bill W. Bell, Tennessee USA
"Thanks for the SOS, it has
relieved my girlfriend of headaches impervious even to potent
migraine medication"... Richard Guy. "I want to let you know how
much your self-massager has helped me to overcome the severe
pain in my buttock that occurs after lengthy car travel...a real
pain in the rear end! Using the massager I can gain rapid
relief. It's great for my lower back and neck too, and I never
travel without it. Thank you!" Robyn Gunther, Australia.
