DVD Info

• Most DVDs are formatted in NTSC, region free and can be played on most Australian DVD players & computers. Most players (and TV) in Australia are multi-format and can play NTSC system.
• Australian produced DVDs (as indicated) are formatted in PAL. PAL is a video-TV system that is used in Australia, NZ, UK, Asia, and many countries outside US. Some DVD players in the US & Canada may not be able to play it. But it can be played on most computers & Laptops.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE)

Members of professional massage associations in Australia can earn CPE points learning from DVDs and products from our site.

  No, you don't need a paypal account. When "checking-out" simply click the option "Don't have a Paypal account?" on the left hand bottom of the panel. Fill in your details and simply make your payment without the need to create a paypal account.

  

   

Postage

• We try to minimise postage cost, using Australia Post, Standard Postage  which means delivery within 3-5 business days delivery.

• We try to use recycle materials for postage most of the time.

Can I learn new techniques from watching a video?

• Yes, you can learn new techniques, although you cannot feel the sense of touch from watching DVD, the experience can be equivalent to a class/ workshop. You can gain new knowledge from renown instructor (from US and Australia). Although it is best to experience a class/ workshop, when you have limited budget, to travel to other towns (most of the time) the cost can escalate quickly.

• The best is to watch and practice it with a fellow therapist.

• You learn the same technique from a reputable instructor at your living room, at your own time. It is a reference that can be consulted at any the time. Seeing the techniques performed live is the key, more than a just a book with pictures.
• Remember that the information contained on the DVDs are not meant to take the place of diagnosis and treatment by a qualified medical practitioner.

• Unfortunately DVD is not indestructible, it is prone to scratch. Dirt, fingerprints, or scratches that come between the laser and the information in the disc can prevent the correct reading of the video information.

Several tips

• Handle discs by the outer edge or the center hole.
• Return discs to storage cases immediately after use.
• Leave discs in their packaging (or cases) to minimize the effects of environmental changes.
• Do not Expose discs to extreme heat or high humidity.
• Do not Write or mark in the data area of the disc (the area the laser "reads").
• Use an air puffer to blow off dust.
• Use a soft cotton cloth or chamois to wipe the disc.
• Try cleaning with a dry cloth first, before using any cleaning -solutions.
• Do not wipe in a direction going around the disc.
• Wipe from the center of the disc straight toward the outer edge.
• Avoid using paper products, including lens paper, to wipe the disc.
• Avoid using anything abrasive on the surface of the disc.
• If the disc has a heavy accumulation of dirt, try rinsing it with water first.
• Use commercially available water-based detergent formulated for cleaning the surface of optical discs.
• Use isopropyl alcohol or methanol, as an alternate to water-based detergents, to clean the disc surface.

If after cleaning, your DVD still cannot be played properly (pictures skipping and stopping) the best advice is to take it to your local DVD rental shop and ask them to "clean" it for you. They usually charge about $5.
