The "Cutting Edge" In
Orthopedic And Medical Massage Training For The Treatment of Chronic
Pain And Sports Injuries. This DVD series will show you techniques to
release Complicated Pain Conditions Immediately... With Permanent
Results with an international lecturer & author: James Waslaski.
These
incredibly powerful techniques are taught in James Waslaski's seminars.
They have been professionally edited in a studio using four camera
angles and insertions of "cadaver dissections" into windows throughout
each video to match the proper technique with the specific pathology of
each condition for immediate and permanent results.
You will eliminate chronic pain and sports injuries throughout the body
by utilizing a multidisciplinary treatment approach and integrate the
most advanced techniques in structural bodywork to isolate the missing
link for each individual situation.
Volume 1. Assessment and Treatment of Lower
Extremity Injuries.
This DVD will revolutionise the way
medical practitioners approach chronic pain and injuries of the lower
extremities. James formulates the 12 step protocols forming
effective recipes for treatment of chronic pain & injuries: Assessment,
Treatment & Rehabilitation. Frustrated by many different expert opinions
on how to best treat complicated sports injuries, James found a way to
blend as many disciplines as possible and build a great referral team of
open minded medical experts that have the client's best interest in
mind. The orthopedic technique is an integration of sports
massage, myofascial stretching, active isolated stretching, trigger points
therapy,
deep tissue massage, muscle energy techniques, and more.
This video addresses the assessment,
treatment and rehabilitation to conditions: Achilles tendinitis, plantar
fasciitis, anterior lateral shin splints, anterior compartment syndrome,
and posterior medial shin splints.
Volume 2. Assessment and Treatment of Upper
Extremity Injuries.
This video addresses rotator cuff injuries,
such as subscapularis tendinitis, supraspinatus tendinitis, and
infraspinatus and teres minor muscle-tendon pain. It also address bicipital tendinitis, medial epicondylitis
or golfer's elbow, lateral epicondylitis or tennis elbow,
carpal tunnel syndrome, neuromuscular pain, and muscle strains.
This DVD will show you functional
assessment skills, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, cross-fibre
and multidirectional friction, muscle energy technique, and
neuromuscular re-education. It also shows you how to identify and
re-program your clients subconscious limiting beliefs about chronic
pain, and teach them to take responsibility of their specific
conditions.
Volume 3. Assessment & Treatment of Low Back Pain
& Sciatica.
This
DVD shows you a unique multidisciplinary approach to the assessment,
treatment, and rehabilitation of lower back pain, injuries to pelvis,
quadriceps and hamstrings.
Learn how to address the balance
of iliopsoas, quadratus lumborum, and the deep six hip rotators. Learn
the relationship between quadriceps and hamstrings on pelvic imbalance
and back pain. It also
addresses patellar tendinitis, ITB friction syndrome, hamstring strains,
and groin strains.
Volume 4. Orthopedic Massage for Thoracic Outlet
and Frozen Shoulder.
Through collaborations with worldwide
medical practitioners, and an
intense self study of anatomy and pathology, James was able to discover
the missing link for immediate release of complicated frozen shoulders.
After being challenged with many clients with difficult frozen
shoulders, James observed that at the articulating cartilage of ball and
socket joints was a thick layer of fascia. Due to repetitive movements
in the shoulder joints certain muscle groups become strong and
short while opposing muscle groups become overstretched and weak. This
eventually leads not only to joint degeneration and resulting arthritis
as the cartilage wears down, but also limits range of motion causing a
formation of adhesions in the joint capsule itself. The articulating
fascia acts as superglue and literally glues the humerus to the scapula.
The deep fascial adhesions however can be melted, in almost a miraculous
discovery James was able to use the head of the humerus in the shoulder
to melt the fascia using very gentle movements. This technique has been
able to release thousands of complicated frozen shoulders in literally
one session.
This video addresses scalenes, pectoralis minor,
subscapularis problems, and deep adhesions in the joint capsule. It also
addresses emotional components of pain stored in the tissue and the
psychological guarding patterns.
Volume 5. Orthopedic Massage for Complicated
Cervical Conditions.
This DVD
addresses complicated cervical conditions such as whiplash, and thoracic
outlet. It shows you a unique technique of pelvic stabilization for
lower back pain and sciatica. Emphasis is placed on structural
integration, by releasing shortened muscle groups and strengthening weak
and over-stretched opposing muscles, rather than simply rubbing on
painful symptoms. See a unique frozen
hip joints release using a novel plunging technique.
One of the leading causes of SI joint pain is
because of adhesions in the ball and socket joint of the hip capsule. At
about 10 degrees of hip extension the ilium is forced into flexion on
the involved side because the femur is superglued into the socket. This
puts stress on the SI joint and results in sprains and strains in that
area. James' plunging technique in releasing the joint capsule will
eliminate the underlying cause of the SI joint dysfunction immediately,
and when the muscle groups around the hip are balanced back out the
patient will remain pain free.
Volume 6. Isolated Stretching for Prevention and
Rehabilitation of Chronic Pain and Sports Injuries.
This DVD is based on creating structural balance
throughout the body by focusing on muscle groups that shorten due to
repetitive motions or prolonged poor posture. Too many people are
stretching the wrong muscle groups. A specific stretching program can
eliminate chronic pain and sports injuries and result. Specific
conditions addressed in this DVD includes: plantar fasciitis, Achilles
tendinitis, medial shin splints, ITB friction syndrome, patellar
tendinitis, tight hamstrings, lower back pain, sciatica, thoracic
outlet, upper back pain, medial epicondylitis, lateral epicondilytis,
carpal tunnel syndrome, and whiplash. Active assisted and contract-relax
stretches are demonstrated, and isolated stretching for client self
treatment.

"I found this
video to be insightful, informative and interesting. It held my
attention for the full hour and I have watched it several times. I found
it quite helpful to learn easier ways to do some therapies that I use in
my office. I would give this video a high rating for chiropractors; in
fact, it is an essential piece of media for any practitioner who relies
heavily on soft-tissue work." Rating: 9 out of 10.
