Fascial Release Techniques |
|
This Series presents Steven Goldstein, the founder of Integrative Fascial Release. Fascial release is a unique blend of myofascial release techniques: autonomic, mechanical, and movement methods. Autonomic methods release muscle guarding, holding patterns and allow for deeper access to fascial structures. This includes the two-pointing method applied across the fascia planes. Mechanical methods attempt to change fascial structures through the application of energy by mechanical pressure, such as static or leverage compression techniques. Movement methods attempt to re-educate fascial pattern and create tissue changes by positional release. |

SI Joint Dysfunction Treatment Protocols Steven Goldstein, the founder of Integrative Fascial Release, explores sacroiliac joint dysfunction & lower back pain. This DVD explores how to create a management plan based on this format, what assessment and special tests to form a working diagnosis, and utilize techniques drawn from Integrated Fascial Release technique: direct and indirect myofascial release, positional release technique PRT, muscle energy technique MET, soft-tissue mobilization techniques for the lumbar spine, pelvis and hip, trigger point and deep tissue massage. This DVD will look at: 1. Common Sources of LBP. 2. Any dysfunction involving the thoracic or lumbar spine, the sacroiliac joint or hip can create low back pain. 3. Structures that contribute to LBP. 4. Piriformis. 5. Sciatic Nerve. 6. Ligaments: long posterior SI, sacrotuberous, sacrospinous. Releases for the anterior throat region that includes Suprahyoid & Infrahyoid musculature will also be covered. Additional approaches utilises Integrated Fascia Release technique, positional release technique PRT, muscle energy technique MET, and craniosacral techniques that address fundamental releases for cervical restrictions. The techniques include: Assess soft tissue & range of motion restrictions, Myofascial release of restrictions, Awareness exercises, Golgi Tendon Organ approach, with Pin & Shift technique, PRT, MET, and Deep tissue stripping.
