For owners, riders and trainers! Help your horse jump better, move faster, and run longer, by using your horse’s responses to guide your work! In this 75 minute hands-on guide, Jim Masterson shows 24 specific techniques to loosen muscles and increase performance, as well as over 30 tips for a successful treatment. Most importantly, Jim shows how to use the horse’s response to guide your treatment. Once you know the 8 responses to look for, you will know exactly where to work, and for how long. This is a step by step guide, and each technique is clearly filmed and explained in detail. Jim shows a complete treatment that covers the neck, shoulder and back. He has used this treatment to improve performance on over a thousand horses- and now you can too! |

This DVD details Mastersons method, which combines acupuncture, neuromuscular release, stress-point massage, and stretching and flexing. By using the four keys: search, response, stay and release, Masterson helps you recognize eight neuromuscular responses of the horse to your touch and how to use those to find and release accumulated stress deep in your horses connective tissues and muscles. By focusing on central-nervous-system treatments, Masterson shows you ways to improve performance; increase mobility and range of motion; free up your horses poll, neck, shoulders and lower back to improve jumping, bending and stopping; and how to use touch and the horses response to open communication with your horse. |

WESTERN HORSEMAN, OCT 2006 SAYS "Step-by-step procedures, well-placed illustrations and computer animation ensure viewers and their horses will reap the benefits of the Masterson Method."
As a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, I found Jim
Masterson’s approach to treating equine problems to be amazingly
powerful. By using proven techniques that get directly to the horses’
brain, nervous, and endocrine systems, amazing results can be achieved
even in only one session treatment. I had been working on a 9 year old
Hunter who was unable to be ridden for the last two years due to
cervical and sacroiliac dysfunction. Within 3 sessions, I now have the
horse lunging steadily and he is able to take a 150lb rider on his back
without any pain or dysfunction!
I would thoroughly recommend owning one of these DVDs
as an essential part of any sport or performance horse owners tool kit.
Even if you only practice several of the techniques pre-ride daily, the
ongoing benefits to your horse will be measurable. |

About
The InstructorJim Masterson, Integrated Equine Performance Bodyworker for the United States Equestrian Team at the 2006 World
Equestrian Games, in Aachen, Germany, teaches a unique method of Equine
Massage that uses neurological responses of the horse to touch, or feel,
to find and release deep muscle and structural stress in key areas of
the horse’s body that most affect performance. Jim travels the country and the world working on performance horses from Grand Prix show jumpers to International Endurance horses to top level Western horses, and has integrated what he has learned from working on performance horses of many disciplines to develop a technique that, he explains: “.....uses manipulation, position release, neuromuscular release, acupressure, stretching and flexing, and most importantly, feel and response from the horse to get a release of stress and return of full range of motion to muscles and joints, especially poll, neck and shoulders, lower back and sacro-iliac. A lot of big words for making your horse go better, but the most important thing to be learned in this method, is in how to use feel, and the response of the horse to get these releases. “And the happy by-product of using this method is in opening a new level of communication, interaction, and trust between you and your horse.” |
